Sony PMW-EX1

The PMW-EX1 is the first in a new range of professional HD products - called XDCAM EX - which record onto memory-based SxS ExpressCard media. The PMW-EX1 combines a state-of-the-art, non-linear XDCAM workflow with simply the best HD quality yet seen in a compact camcorder. It is also the first handheld camcorder to carry the legendary CineAlta 24P brand with multiple frame rate recording capability such as 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P, as well being 1080i/720P switchable.

Sony HDR-Z1E HDV

Sony’s new High Definition Video camcorder, the HDR-Z1E, is a first in many ways. This camcorder has three CCDs one for each primary colour of light whereby better colour information can be gathered, processed, and recorded than by a single CCD camcorder. The tapes used are the same standard MiniDV ones. DV recording and playback can be performed or the HDV mode utilised which uses MPEG2 to greatly increase the effective bandwidth for video data to HD TV levels.

Canon XL H1

The Canon XL H1 is a perfect camera for any E NG producer, documentary, feature, or commercial videographer, the XL H1 is a lightweight HD camcorder.

Superior Canon Optics and exceptional image processing give you a brilliant HD image. The XL H1 also features uncompressed HD-SDI and SD-SDI output, as well as Genlock input and SMPTE time code input and output for multi-camera shoots. It also features customisable open-architecture, selectable frame rates and multiple output options. The XL H1 features customisable settings and a well-balanced design for most video work demands.

Sony HVR-Z7E

The HVR-Z7E is the world's first HDV handheld camcorder with an interchangeable lens system, native progressive recording, and solid-state memory recording.
A variety of video lenses can be attached to the HVR-Z7E, which is equipped with a universal standard 1/3-inch bayonet mount mechanism for the quick changing of lenses.

A streamlined nonlinear editing workflow can be achieved using the supplied memory-recording unit, which provides HDV/DVCAM/DV file recording on a standard CompactFlash® solid-state memory card.
