Providing HDV with the 1080i Standard and joining the existing DVCAM range, the HVR-Z1E offers users an affordable migration path from Standard Definition whilst retaining the popular DVCAM benefits such as ease of use and i.LINK connectivity. In addition to its compact size, the HVR-Z1E boasts a number of features over consumer-oriented products making it ideal for the professional user. The HVR-Z1E is equipped with a 3CDD HD 1080i in 16:9 Widescreen-viewfinder and more than 1 million megapixels for a resolution of 1440 x 1080 by using the technology "spatial offset". It also integrates the DXP processeur (Digital eXtended Processor), HD 14 bits of high precision assuring an A/D 14 bits conversion. The high definition Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens on the HVR-Z1E, with it's optical 12x zoom, guaranties exceptional high definition pictures witout any trace of chromatic abberration

Built-in converter to take HDV images to Standard Definition: The flexibility to film your footage in HDV and use the camera's down-converter to output Standard Definition pictures if required.
